A: The roof panels should be installed before the wall panels.

A: One roll of insulation covers 750 sq ft.

Q: How deep and what diameter should my post hole be?

A: It should 3 ft or 20% of your post deep and have a diameter of 18 inches.

Q: Does my building/ truss have an overhang?

A: Yes, each truss is manufactured with an additional 18” overhang. For example if you purchase a building with 24’ trusses each truss will be 24’ plus the additional 18” overhang.

A: No, doors and windows must be purchased separately.

Q: If I purchase a standing roof kit, is insulation included?

A: No, when purchasing a standing roof kit insulation must be purchased separately.

Q: Does my building package include all necessary hardware to install my building?

A: All building packages include lags, bolts, and all screws necessary for purlins and metal panels. However, when purchasing an enclosed building we do not provide screws/nails for the wall girts, we understand each customer has their own preference on which to use for these, therefore we do not provide them.

Q: What length is your trim? Do you keep it in stock?

A: All trim is 10’ long; we do keep most of our trim in stock. Call us to check if we have the trim you need in stock.

Q: What is your standard pitch?

A: Gable: 4/12 pitch, Gambrel: 4/12 and 12/12 pitch, lean-to: 2/12 pitch, other pitches are available upon request.

Q: Is there a warranty on my metal roofing?

A: Yes, colored metal has a 40 year warranty and galvalume has a 25 year warranty.

Q: Is there a warranty on roll-up and walk-in doors?

A: R&R Iron Works, unfortunately, does not provide a warranty on any roll-up or walk-in doors. However, the company that supplies our doors may provide a warranty. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your roll-up or walk-in door please contact us and we can get you in touch with someone who can provide you with an answer.

Q: What lengths can I get my metal cut to and how wide is it?

A: All metal panels are 3’ wide and be cut to any length you need. If you have a metal order or have questions about our metal give us a call or send us an email.

Q: What gauge is your metal panel?

A: Our metal panels are 28 gauge, we also offer PBR 26 gauge panels in limited colors (Green, White, Light Stone, and Galvalume).

Q: What is the proper size of a graded site?

A: The proper size of the graded site should be 3' larger than the building size. Patio's, porches and carports should be included when preparing the grading site.
